About Mea
I use acrylic paint, markers, pastels, gouache, acrylic ink, and other secret ingredients to create my paintings, because not only is it more fun to use a bunch of art supplies, but also a mix of textures gives the eye more to grab onto, experience, and enjoy.
You will find that I frequently use blues, teals, light greens, sheer pastels, interesting oranges, magenta, purple, and pink. Of those colors, I’ve found that I resonate the most with blue and pink.
I explore playfulness, delight, imagination, and fun in my art.
I decided to pursue being a full-time artist in 2020, but I’ve been creative for much of my life, painting and selling art off and on.
I paint for my family. In 2020, I became pregnant with my first child. For years leading up to this moment, I had known it was important for me to work for myself, so that I would have the flexibility I need to care for my children. It is also important to me for my children to see in me a role model who is creative and continuously takes on her art.
When you see my art, it is my hope that you experience moments of surprise and that will bring up feelings of childlike wonder for you.
Miracles happen when I paint. To me, making art is a method of self-healing. I encourage others to paint, and aspire to teach many to make it not only a habit, but a lifestyle.
