My husband's aunts are two of my biggest fans. One of them said this looked like "clouds in a sunset". I see the brush strokes as having flair, so I spun that a little to come up with the name.

• Believe it or not, I was inspired by a beautiful photo of the sun setting on colorful buildings when I painted this.

• Do you see the big chunk of watermelon in it?

• And what makes those transparent lavenders so delicate and romantic?
